Time Square, New York, 2013
People in New York live a fast-paced life, which sometimes prevents them from noticing people around them as they don´t give themselves the chance to look up and see what´s around ... Which was a bit dofficult for me as every time I got lost in the subway or walked in the opposite direction on the streets, I didn't know how to stop somone to ask them for directions.
But then I realized that most people were willing to help me out and just a smile was enough to approach them=)
Smiling is part of a universal language, it doesn't matter how different we may seem from each other, where we come from, our cultural traditions or skin colour, when we smile we seem to be closer to one another, we are able to connect with new people creating new links of friendship and trust.
